Default A melee and ranged prof.

Ok so here's my idea.

I think it would be cool to have a profession that could do both melee and ranged attack.

Weapon:
I think that the weapon should be chackram, also know has flying disc.
They should be dual weilded like assassin's daggers.

How it would work:
When you press "K" (or whatever your skill/attribute window key is) you should have to possibility to choose between ranged and melee. You should be able to do this inside AND outside of outpost. While in melee mode, normal attack would look a bit like assassin's one and when in ranged mode, one of the 2 chackram should dissapear and you should use the other one like a boomerang.

Armor and Energy
The max armor should be 70, like ranger.
Energy should be at 25 or 30 with a 3 or 4 energy regen.

Possible Attributes and skills
Melee Attack: Skills in this attributes only work when attacks are checked as melee.
Ranged Attack: Skills in this attributes only work when attacks are checked as ranged.
More to come

-----------------------------------------------

As you can see I'm still looking for a name, a primary attribute and at least another atrribute. I don't know if this other attribute should focus on hexes, spell, enchantment, shout healing or anything else. I'm also looking for a background story, god/goddess idea, boss color and every other thing a profession needs.

Please give suggestion and comment!

ok i have come up with an idea for a melle/ranged prof that i will post later but useing 1 weopon for both melee and ranged.... is not a good idea, its just a bit too hard to implement and would compleately alter the playing experience, but 1 class that can wield 2 types of weps like a warrior can, one being ranged and another being melle might work.

True, but that can be achieved through multyclassing, the point of balanced melee ranged is the use of your atribute points and your max 8 skill slots in a way that allows for effectiveness at range and up close, without losing out on either one.
With multyclassing that is pretty hard to do, especially because you need skillslots to place several attacks in(And at least 3 for survival/boost skills and 1 for a rez).
A ranger attack combo can consist out off a preperation and marauders shot, but you try fitting a good assasin combo into 2 skill slots.

At that I do not agree with they consept because:
!) It has different atributes for the same weapon, still not getting rid of the overly exessive atribute needs required for ranged/melee when multy classing.
?) Ranged attacks are locked in melee, why? they are obviously better in melee, the foe is to clase then to have a chance to dodge!
